It's STILL HOT

It's the same old, same old litany about the weather.  It's hot.  It's too dry.  It's hot hot hot.  Can't complain about it being wet as most of us have lost any memory of what rain looks like.  We had a chance yesterday as it clouded up and teased us with sunless skies and a drip and drab here and there.  And then it gave the most pitiful attempt at a rain shower I've seen in ages.  I've had better results at wringing a mop dry.

Our last decent rainfall was the beginning of July and it has been a daily routine of heading out the door into the side gardens and liberally watering to keep the plants happy and alive; since Mother Nature has been less than cooperative and I really hated to only have   crisped offerings for the kitchen.  Sun dried tomatoes on a BLT hasn't exactly been my idea of a juicy dripping sandwich.
